Fees in practice
A regular user on the global schedule pays 0.08% for limit orders that wait in the book and 0.10% for market orders on spot. On a $5,000 spot purchase with a limit order, that is $4.
On futures, regular users pay 0.02% as maker and 0.05% as taker. A $10,000 position opened with a market order costs $5.
US accounts and spot-only accounts in the European Economic Area have higher fees. Check the fee schedule in your own account.
Identity check
OKX requires identity verification to trade, deposit and withdraw.
Who it suits
- Traders outside the restricted list who want low regular-user fees.
- Traders who place limit orders often: the 0.08% spot maker fee is lower than at Bybit.
It doesn't suit you if you live in Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, India or Malaysia, among other restricted countries, or in a US jurisdiction outside OKX US.
Proof of reserves
OKX publishes proof of reserves every month, with a Merkle tree and zero-knowledge proofs, so you can check that your balance is included without revealing other users' data.
Compare it with Bybit: Bybit vs OKX.
Risk warning: crypto trading and prop firm challenges are risky. Many traders fail a challenge and lose the fee. Only pay what you can afford to lose. Nothing here is financial advice.
